<p>Why is it that many of the theories of instruction from nursing appear to be contradictory and perplexing? <p>One theory that has been quite effective in the evolution of the nurse education system is the central model of education in nursing. It gives a holistic view of human development and relates it to the need for nurses to work within the constraints of health care systems. The central model of education in nursing is based on theories from the main schools of thought in education in nursing and adds to them with research from different areas of nursing such as pediatrics and gerontology.</p>
